meet the sash & bustle girls

Cynthia Martyn, Owner & Managing Director

Cynthia knows very well how challenging finding the perfect wedding dress can be - after all, she has helped plan close to 200+ weddings as the Principal of Cynthia Martyn Events Inc., a well-known Toronto-based wedding planning & design firm.  It was through working with her many clients that she heard the countless complaints about the bridal gown shopping process in Toronto:  the lack-lustre customer service, the underwhelming selections, and she has counselled her fair share of brides fleeing from bridal salons in tears due to the rudeness of staff.   From this experience, Sash & Bustle was born in 2009.  Cynthia wanted to create a new type of bridal boutique - a place where brides would feel welcome, and find beautifully styled gowns at a moderate price point.  Sash & Bustle is a labour of love, marrying Cynthia's love of fashion with her passion for weddings.
