meet the sash & bustle girls

The Dineen Sisters

First, we would like to congratulate you on your upcoming wedding! You are a bride-to-be and, as such, you deserve very special attention. You may have been dreaming about your wedding day since you were a young girl and planned everything from the colour scheme to the flowers for your bouquet. But maybe you’re completely new to the idea of being a bride and the planning process seems overwhelming. At Sash & Bustle, we are committed to providing you with the personalized experience that you deserve when shopping for your wedding gown. Owned by two sisters with a deep passion and understanding of the bridal industry, Andrea and Vanessa Dineen invite you to their shop, where you’ll feel welcomed and find beautifully styled gowns at a moderate price. Even as young girls, Andrea and Vanessa shared a dream of working in fashion. As they grew older, the Dineen sisters developed and refined their natural skill sets, Vanessa in business and Andrea in design, through world-class educations and hands-on experience. Today, these two sisters have brought their love of fashion together with their passion for bridal to provide a truly charming experience at Sash & Bustle.

Andrea Dineen, Owner & Bridal Stylist

From the time Andrea could walk she was already knee-deep in crafts and art projects – often leaving a trail of glitter behind her. Her love of fashion and design was later nurtured at Ryerson University’s illustrious School of Fashion. As a student, Andrea was recognized with multiple awards, including having her leather jacket design selected and produced by Danier. More recently, Andrea’s designs were the People’s Choice Winner in the 2013 Toronto Art of Fashion competition. Over the past two years, Andrea has brought her love of design and deep understanding of clothing the modern woman to helping Toronto brides find the dress of their dreams.

Vanessa Dineen, Owner & Managing Director

Vanessa spent six years studying Business Management at Conestoga College and Ryerson University. In addition to Vanessa's extensive education, she has invested eleven years in the hospitality industry, where she has filled roles from entry level to management. Her most beloved position was working as an event manager. She had the honour of working one-on-one with over 75 brides to plan and execute their weddings. While planning weddings Vanessa learned that this overwhelming task is much more enjoyable when the people assisting you are friendly, realistic, and down to earth – and that’s the philosophy that she brings to every aspect of Sash & Bustle.

Jacqueline Charrier, Bridal Stylist

Jacqueline is currently a student at Ryerson University illustrious School of Fashion, where she is studying Fashion Communications. Jacqueline has been working with brides as a bridal stylist at Sash & Bustle for the past two years. She loves hearing about wedding themes, getting to know each bride individually, and ultimately helping them find the perfect dress and accessories for their special day.
