Bride is wearing A Custom “Vicki” Truvelle

“Simon and I planned our wedding for a little over a year – and the week of the wedding turned out to be directly in the line of Hurricane Dorian’s sights – to hit on our exact wedding day (Saturday, September 7th).

We’d been getting progressively antsy about how it would all work out – and by Thursday, he approached me with an idea: “what if we got married tomorrow, instead of Saturday”? I laughed it off – and replied, “OK babe, if you can get all of our vendors & guests on board – I am in.”

I then went about tending to our guests who had now arrived for the wedding week kick off festivities while Simon hustled to connect with our vendors behind the scenes. By late afternoon, he pulled me aside and said “Okay – everyone’s in, are we doing this??” We made the announcement to our guests right then and there at the event… we were getting married, TOMORROW!

The sense of community and love we felt was so unbelievably incredible to have all of our (115) friends and family drop everything; leave work early, re-book flights, find last minute babysitters. And for each & every single vendor (wedding coordinators, photographer, videographer, florist, band, makeup artist, hairstylists & guest-room’s flipped and prepped) say yes, lets make this happen – was so overwhelmingly kind and heartwarming to feel!
The day went off smoothly, with so much love, belly laughs and the perfect musical soundtrack – with the most amazing people on the planet.

To top that all off – I felt pretty darn special in my custom Truvelle dress! All of our wedding party looked incredible as well.

The very next day – Hurricane Dorian hit, and a smaller crew of about 40 guests stayed on site – singing & dancing in the rain – and feasting on a delicious meal curated on a whim by two chef guests, cooked on a wood burning stove after the power went out!

Was definitely a week we’ll never forget :)”
